If they are fun to eat and quick to make, then please share :) Don't forget to play music whilst you preparing the ingredients!

illGuyX's Sausage Cassarole

Postby illGuyX » Sat May 03, 2008 2:24 pm

It be wise to prepare the ingredients at one time, then cook them later when you feel ready ^^. The cooking part doesn't take long.

This serves 3 ppl plus left overs

1 Leek sliced
1 Onion sliced
1 Courgette sliced
1 Red pepper sliced and chopped
1 green pepper sliced and chopped
6 cooked sausages chopped
Can of chopped tomatoes
A small jug of water
Tomatoe Puree
Parmesan cheese

Mixed Herbs
Pasta [Pick what you fancy]
Olive oil or vegatable oil for frying

1) Fry Sausages, let them go cold then chop them up, put them asside till later.

2) Make sure all your ingredients are chopped and/or sliced first

3)Get a nice big frying pan and heat up some oil, just enough to cover the base of the pan.

4)Fry under a medium heat the following, adding each one till they browned and soft
1st onions, 2nd peppers, 3rd courgette, 4th leek

5) Add the chopped sausages, the whole can tomatoes, and tomatoe puree into the frying pan with all the ingredients.

Cook till the sausages have been warmed.

Should the ingredients get a bit sticky, it be wise to add a few drops of water.

6) Cook the Pasta as said on the packet

Serve with parmesan cheese

Any left overs, let them go cold and place them in a plastic tub, refridgerate ^^

Enjoy

Thanks again, just one question: green and red pepper - do you mean paprika? or chili?

Red and Green Peppers as in 'Bell Peppers'

Mixed herbs is an all rounder thing really.

If you like chilli spice in your mouth then add some chilli :)
Otherwise paprika is fine. Never tried it with those so I'd be interested to that now lol.
