lonliness

That is how it seems to go with me. The loneliness and the depression seem to come on simultaneously and then they feed off eachother until I am in a real emotional mess. It's hard to tell which one came first. Much appreciate your input.

Hi, When you see yourself you see a man who is exhausted and ready to quit life. As I read your story, I saw a young man with incredible inner strength. If you have lived this long on your own from the age of 17, you do have incredible inner strength. You would not have survived otherwise. You have ...

Hi! I've used 5-HTP in the past. It did help me without the usual side effcts that I got from the other rx's. Read on one internet site that there may be an increase with heart problems with it. We have a lot of those in our family so I quit. I was never able to find other research to back up the or...

Do I have permission to just scream?

Stress has been building up lately. Husband is chronically ill. Work is difficult for him. On his days off, he spends most of his time outside doing yard work. Keeps him from geting stiff. He can't do OT. Money is getting tight. Bounced a check yesterday. Can't talk to him much. He worries about me ...

Peep212, Glad to know they finally figured it out. It is so frustrating when the docs are just taking their best guess. I realize they are human and they are doing their best. Reduced med levels sounds great! Hope everything keeps getting better for you. Take care,

I am sorry if my post sounded harsh. I do believe that it is true and I hope and pray that you will take God up on His word that He is forgiving, compassionate, and merciful. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow." Isaiah 1:18

Peace,

Hi there, You have asked forgiveness from your bishop and your lady friend, but have you asked God for forgiveness? Our God is full of mercy and compassion. But, my guess is that you would not accept God's forgiveness either. You are too busy beating yourself up and that is from Satan. By not accept...

HiMianLee,
Your husband sounds like he is being very selfish. He is looking only to himself and his wants. That's a shame. Children show us that the world is so much bigger than just ourselves. I feel for you and I will pray for you. Take care.

Hi Wonder, I don't feel brave. Thanks for the kind words though. Counseling was the same for me. it helped but it didn't take the depression away. It was a temperary fix. The last time, I quit because of financial reasons. it can get quite expensive very fast. It was nice to meet you. Hope you are d...

I need to get out

I keep getting this feeling that I need to get out and do something. I need more contact with people to lift my depression. I've thought about getting a job, joining a yoga class, or volenteering at a nursing home. But getting out scares me. I always seem to say the wrong things. I hate being judged...

Ken,

Glad to know that Fran is feeling better. It is such a relief to find little things that we can do to make the anxiety better. I can't imagine the anxiety Fran must feel when fighting for each breath. Poor dear. Take care both of you.

Peace,

Jeanne

Ken, Been in that pit myself. I hate to drive, that will be my way to go. I was driving down the freeway once about 20 years ago, I had to pull the steering wheel with all my strenght to keep from running into the median. It was strange, as if something else was in control of the wheel and I was fig...

Thanks for the welcome Peep212. People have been telling me for years that I too have a chemical imbalance. The antidepressents do make me feel better, can think much more clearly, but I don't want to live with the side effects. OK. Truth is I hate the idea that my brain is "imbalanced". I...
