bi-polar and pregnant
My 19 year old son has a 17 year old girlfriend who is three months pregnant. She is bi-polar and is off her meds due to the pregnancy. She is a very pretty girl who is very self conscious about her looks. My son insisted that she stop talking to her friends, who just happen to all be former boyfrie...

Interesting article. I think most of us know inside that something just isn't right. It is a bit of a relief to have a dx and have a name for all of our mental stress. There is also an ready made excuse for why we may act differently than others. For me, having a dx was the starting point for healin...

I find that quilting by hand gives my hands something to do. Helps work out the anxiety. Having a finished product that I can be proud of helps with the self esteem issues. I'm sure any other craft project could work the same. I compare the cost of each product with the cost of therapy. Quilting is ...

BrokenPen, I'm with you on this one. My husband is chronically ill. He works on a swing shift. We are on completely different schedules. We only sleep in the same bed occaaionally, maybe 6 times a month, and then he is usually in pain or exhausted. It leaves me feeling rejected, lonely, and undesira...

Cat person for sure. Dogs are too needy for me. I ned a pet that I can pet to calm me down and then they go on their day without me. Dogs always need something, food or water that they can't catch on their own, taken out for a walk, played with. Hate tripping over them in the house. Cats are low mai...
