Re: Fear not, if you love. Love not, if you fear.

Searching Freedom,

WOW! That was an incredibly heartfelt and touching prose.

You expressed your feelings in a profound way. You have a talent for writing. If you have any more, I would love to read them.

Thank you very much for sharing it with the rest of us.

Re: Need ideas to fix things

Hi Spice, Congratulations on your anniversary. I can appreciate how frustrated you feel with yourself. He hasn’t been “putting up with you” as you put it. He clearly loves you and is demonstrating his commitment to you. He sounds like a good man. I am sure he doesn’t blame you for a meltdown and und...

Re: Worse

Hi DemonPawz, I’m sorry to hear that things are not so well for you at the moment. Thank you for sharing your coping methods. Keeping a journal is a fantastic suggestion. I find writing to be therapeutic, too. As Anne Frank said in her diary in her Friday, December 24, 1943 entry: “ Paper is more pa...

Hi Agentk, It is a pleasure to meet you. It’s encouraging to hear you talk about some of the ways you overcome negativity and to heal yourself through your own struggles with depression. With your own experiences of depression, you will no doubt be a tremendous source of encouragement, strength, and...

Re: my mom has depression and I need help

Hi Livvie, I see that this is an old post. However, like Regina, I will reply too in case other people are going through similar experiences and find some useful suggestions in this thread. I believe it is a common occurrence. Depression can make us more sensitive, agitated, or withdrawn more than u...

Re: Hi, I'm old and my dreams are all ashes

Hi laurenipsum, I found an article that I thought you may find useful. It is about making wiser choices in life. It answers such questions as: 1. Why should we accept that make decisions is part of life? 2. Why should others not make decisions for us? 3. Why might we sometimes have to change a decis...

Re: Suicide attempt (?)

Hi Amarthereus, Yes, it is an attempt. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention gives this definition: “A suicide attempt is when someone harms themselves with the intent to end their life, but they do not die as a result of their actions.” This is in contrast to a completed suicide. If you ne...

Re: I feel so pressured

Hi justsomeone, Try to take one day at a time. As it says in Matthew 6:34: “So never be anxious about the next day, for the next day will have its own anxieties. Each day has enough of its own troubles.” I find that the application of this wisdom in my own life relieves any anxieties or troubles as ...

Re: Hi, I'm old and my dreams are all ashes

Hi laurenipsum, I think most of us (to varying extents) feel unfulfilled with our lives. So you are 58. That’s okay! That number merely represents how many years you have been on this earth. There are many more years left for you to find fulfillment in your life. What I find helpful is to not subscr...

Re: Is it advisable marry someone with anxiety disorder who takes strattera 5 times a week?

Hi NewGirl2019, I did a quick Google search on Strattera . It appears to be a treatment for ADHD. The drug does not appear to be used specific for anxiety, but may be prescribed for ADHD with coexisting anxiety. Here are some links with more information on the drug… https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubm...

Re: My story.

Hi DemonPawz, Thank you for sharing your story with us. This will be of value to others because it acts as a good reminder of the emotional turmoil and hardship we all face in this system of things, albeit some more than others. Depression can very much be a lonely and isolating experience. But shar...

Hi Wonderwoman97, I see that this is a double post, as I replied to the same post, different title. I thought I would just check in with you to see how your friend is doing. And how are you coping? I have been thinking about you and your friend and praying on your behalf. It’s great that you have be...

Hi DemonPawz, Welcome to the forums. I am new myself. I joined on Saturday, September 2017 at 8:54 PM, apparently, but haven’t been very active during this time. This forum is somewhat active. One thing for sure, however, is that it is a warm community filled with genuine love and support, so I have...
