Re: First post

HI Me254, Welcome, and thanks for sharing. A double degree, full time job, and a good drink. I’m not surprised you are exhausted, buddy lol So what do you mean by “failing”? And why “pathetic” and “undeserving”? It’s always good to challenge unfounded or negative thoughts lest they become our truth....

Re: I don't know whats wrong with me

I doubt any of us here would know, either. I would imagine a qualified health professional, such as doctor and/or therapist would be the place to go to get to the bottom of it.

Re: can someone talk to me?

I totally hear you. I found it exceedingly frustrating in my own life. I was highly ambitious and had dreams that I wanted to make a reality. I had all the qualities and drive to fulfill my ambitions. But, at the time, I could not reach my full potential because I was struggling too much with depres...

Hi Theonlyme, You are certainly not alone. I’m sure many people here can relate to how you are feeling, including myself. I felt like I was nothing and life would always be painful. I dare not repeat the thoughts I had of myself and the way I felt lol but it was ugly. I felt this way about myself an...

Re: Hello everyone!

Hi Val87, Welcome to the forums. I was at a town with my puppy having a latte. He got first place ribbon at obedience training, so I took us there straight after training for a celebration. We went for a stroll up the road that leads to the town Church. It’s a lovely quiet spot lined with big trees ...

Re: Progress Report

Hi Welby, Thank you so much for keeping us updated. From what I can tell, you are doing all the right things. The fact that you felt uncomfortable is actually a good thing, in my opinion. This means that you stepped out of your comfort zone. After all, we can’t make progress by always staying in our...

Re: Howdy

Hi Joshuat, I can’t even begin to imagine what I would be like if I had been given an actual estimate of my time left on earth. I certainly don’t think it is unreasonable that you feel this way. Perhaps make it a matter of prayer. Keep talking to God, ask him for guidance, strength, peace, and wisdo...

Re: Relationships and Depression

Hi Stranger, Welby made a great point: “it’s very difficult to help people who don’t want to help themselves”. Your girlfriend sounds like she needs more help than what you or anyone else can give her. Nobody can help her unless she is willing to make an effort herself. Congratulations for stepping ...

Re: Hello out there

I have been thinking about your situation. I am not in your shoes, so it would be easy for me to say to try this or try that. I genuinely want to see you have a more fulfilling life, both in your personal and family life. Thus, I will throw out some ideas and thoughts for you to play around with. Yo...

Re: Just want to find way to help myself

Hi cheese_cake, I like cheesecake, so the name makes my mouth water haha. I used to cut off my associations when I had depression and anxiety, despite it making me feel even more isolated and lonely than I already felt. The irony. It is best to resist this temptation and counterproductive behavior. ...

Hi MtnDreams, I also love the results running gives you. When I run, I imagine myself like a wild horse galloping, free and happy. You sound like you enjoy the outdoors and nature. I love the outdoors, exploring, and adventures—there is nothing quite like it. It is such as shame when we put our pass...

Re: Broken promises, in a sense

Hi Welby, Try not to be hard on yourself. The promise you made is essentially about taking accountability for yourself and to do something positive each day. There will be times when something comes up and we can’t do what we set out to do. I don’t see what happened as a “broken promise”. You are st...

Re: Hello out there

Hi MtnDreams, Welcome to this forum. Perhaps you are at “odds with everything around you” because those things in your life are only materialistic possessions. For some people, this may bring them happiness—or at least the illusion of happiness. But for the more enlightened individual, true happines...
