your familiy's opinions arent the only ones that matter (I'm sure youre friend is more likely to be unbiased and honest) but if its really that bad (or you can`t stand the comments) you could always redye it, it's not like hair colour is permanent

Getting help

Is there any sort of professional someone under the age of 18 can talk to about feeling suicidal that doesn't legally have to inform their parents/cops in Canada? I don't think I can do this on my own anymore but I don't want everyone to know either.

Trying to decide whether or not to seek treatment is hard, and I personally feel like this is one of those things where you need to hit rock bottom before you get help. What happened to you is definitely unfortunate, I hope talking about it helped. The only think I can suggest is confronting your friend about his behaviour change, not aggressively, but there may be something hes bothered with that the two of you need to talk out.

Trying to decide when to throw the towel in with a relationship definitely isn't easy but it sounds like something needs to change between the two of you (maybe marriage counselling or something) because taking the same path over and over while expecting different scenery rarely works.

Well I've never had the greatest relationship with my father and around that time I discovered I had been an accident conceived 2 months before my parents marriage and started blaming myself for my mothers unhappiness (she's a saint and i know she doesn't blame/regret me but I can't help it). I gues...

Our happiness is somewhat controlled by what those around us have, but it can be hard to compare your happiness to the abstract idea of someone who has it worse off and obviously there are other factors that lead to depression so don't blame yourself for it because you'll likely feel worse. Maybe yo...

No clue what I'm supposed to say

So long story short I'm not depressed (to my knowledge) but I kinda want to kill myself (but I can't because I wouldn't want to hurt my mom or friends like that). These thoughts first started around 7th grage but I gradually stopped being a blubbering mess and thought I was 'normal' again until a Ha...
