Well done for keeping at it!

I haven't been doing much exercise, but even if I can't muster up any energy I've at least been trying to walk up and down the stairs quickly, a few times. Better than nothing I suppose.

Thinking of you Monty, hope you feel better soon. My mother gets kidney stones frequently, and they sound awful. All the best to you.

I get the same thing, and also use it as a reminder that I'm about to get my period! Damn hormones. Guess most women have emotional moments around this time, but not everyone has to factor in other problems like we do!

Thanks all.

Don't feel like writing a lot today, but I've been doing a lot better, and staying away from alcohol of course.

Suppose the occasional slip-up reminds us we're merely human. :)

I went for a run a little earlier and I feel great. Think I did about 3 miles.

Good idea re: the ankle/wrist weights - not something I'd considered before but I may try.

You're 100% right, thanks. As is usually the case, I am even more determined today to fight these feelings. Guess the occasional slips just remind me to keep at it, and never let my guard down. Drinking was a dumb idea, it was fine when in the company of friends but I guess I forgot about the alone ...

Silly behaviour - Triggering Material

Got drunk last night, and cut myself. First time in ages. Really dumb of me.

I tried the chat room for the first time earlier, wasn't sure what to make of it. I guess it's always helpful to have somewhere where you'll get a more instant response if you're having a tough day. Will probably keep going between both for the time being.

Man, I need to do more exercise. I think I'm going to try and go for a run tomorrow morning before work. And then I need to go to work; I called in sick today. Must get into a routine, and do lots of exercise.

Mich, I hope you can get through this without lashing out at yourself. I'm pleased you have nothing available to use.

Thinking of you, and hoping you can stay strong and maybe find something else to focus on for a while.

Thanks. I may add more when I think of them. I like to remind myself of the little things occasionally, and try and pick one thing each day which is good, regardless of how good or bad a day it's been overall. Even if it's just something like a bird singing a really beautiful song, it's a reminder t...

I see we had the usual countrywide meltdown following the recent snow. We are horrendous at weather! Such a shame I don't drink tea..

Re: My story and Explanation

When I look back at my life so far it really should be no surprise that I have suffered from depression for much of my life. I have never been abused or neglected in any way as some of you have been. However, I come from a long line of depressives and neurotics. If you wanted to breed a depressive,...
