Re: Scared of getting thrown away again

This depression will take you nowhere but darkness and solitude. Going to ER means it's kind of severe or chronic. Are you taking any meds? If yes are they working? If medication is not working please try alternative coping mechanisms, they literally help. I have a history of depression and anxiety....

Re: Is the relationship toxic and abusive despite the depression?

Sometimes when we try so hard to avoid things, we end up self-fulfilling our doubts. Just realize that you are you, and she is she, and if it’s meant to be it will be. I know it sounds rude and selfish but I would not be with a depressive person while going through depression already because I don’t...

Re: Depression & break up

Honey, it's okay. We all go through the same situations post-break-up. And I know how tough it can be. There are a number of cheap or free psychiatrist options you can use online. Sometimes a chemical imbalance in the body can result in depression and anxiety and a need for corrective medication. A ...

Re: Help: Anxiety, Depression, Feeling Hopeless

Reading your story what I analyzed is that you need to love yourself first in order to get out of this anxiety and depression. You know what this is kind of funny but it is also revealing a hidden truth to everybody's experience that pretty much everybody is over-looking. Self-identification with th...

Re: What Are The Songs That Can Ease Anxiety

Music is a powerful healing tool. It has the capacity to bring mental peace to your life. Music helps uplift and calm you, you are so right and singing does too. I love classical music as it is so calm and I listen to it at night before bed when I read it helps me chill before I sleep. Music is the ...

Re: Just need advice

My dear Kevin, getting a divorce and moving away from a person you loved or perhaps still loves is one of the most painful things. When you live with someone for years or even for months, you naturally get connected to them but since you have decided on a divorce so definitely there might be any leg...

Re: Boyfriend with depression - advice and experience welcome

I am not being judgemental but I think I would rather prefer providing that depressed person some counseling sessions. It would be rude if I provoke someone’s feelings for me and I just not be up to my promises. I had also suffered from long-term anxiety and stress and I know how it feels to be in t...

Re: Emptyness

This emptiness, void, and solitude seem never-ending to me. I can totally relate to your situation. After a struggle of so many years, I have now realized that there are a few things constant in our life and the others are made constant by us. Looking at life from others' prospectus is no way you ca...

Re: Everyday keeps getting harder.

Going several decades back, people didn’t know about Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Many people who suffered from this condition did not understand what they were going through. Today, over 2.2 million Americans suffer from OCD. This is an anxiety disorder that affects people from all walks of...

Re: Depression and Mental Desease

I think if a person is struggling with mental health issues, he should try to open to someone whether it would be a psychiatrist, psychotherapist, family or a friend or just anyone. Way too better than medication. If someone thinks your medicines were helping you please resume them as per your docto...

Re: Alternate Natural Remedies For Depression

Keep yourself busy in some activities you like to do the most. Do any extra job and try to spend some time there. Hangout with your friends and read some mind comforting things. Take a warm shower after coming back home. Do some relaxation exercises. Walk daily and manage your eating routine. I know...

Re: The Night before I killed myself/The morning after I killed myself

I am sobbing. I am shaking. It touched me. Amazing it is. That is how life is. People like us, combatting depression are so empty so incomplete so void. We live in a dark phase with no hope to survive. No positivity, no motivation. We allow depression to take control of our lives. Depression in retur...

Re: I dont want to be alive but i want to live

Be kind to yourself. Remember it is not your fault your family is like this. It is not your fault for their actions. You are only in control of yourself. Take it one day at a time. During my lowest, it was the few friends and my boyfriend that helped me the most. Don't forget to open up to them once...

Re: feel like I'm slipping

I am sorry that you have to feel that way! What I can gauge from your condition is that you are probably suffering from anxiety or depression. You should seek medical help and get some prescribed medicines from a certified medical expert. This will help you feel good and you will soon be back to you...

Re: I want to no longer exist

Stop saying like that. If you're brave enough to have spent 45 years you can cope up with this too. People will listen and enjoy your problems and can never solve them. You have to be your own serotonin. Find your ways to get out of it. And I know you can do that. Nothing is impossible it just needs...
