Re: i feel guilty for the way i feel

Your feelings are your own regardless of how good your life might seem from the viewpoint of the majority of others looking in. Just because your life is good and you acknowledge that to be true doesn't mean your feelings aren't real. Good luck. Invalidation especially when it comes from people roun...

Re: Depression destroying my marriage and life

It's very tempting to end it all once you've taken those 3 steps back. Getting better can seem like such an impossible goal with so much pressure to succeed and having to endure the almost inevitable punishment of having to pick oneself up again.

I wish you all the best whatever happens.

Re: please help :)

It seems like these thoughts are truly bothering you.

Our thoughts can seem scary to us sometimes. Sometimes it's in the realm of what's considered normal and sometimes it's attached to a medical condition.

I hope you manage to find some peace with your thoughts.

Re: When will I ever feel okay?

The covid lockdown is unfortunate. Although the lockdown isn't meant to last for ever, it can last too long. And the longer it lasts the riskier it is for those of us who are in pain. It seems like what's worked to regulate your mood before the lockdown are activities outside of the house. I hope yo...

Re: I don’t feel like I’m alive

It's hard to get someone else's or even your own approval. Others may never realise our value and we may not even realise or appreciate our own value. And sometimes we try so very hard to prove ourselves.

I'm sorry for your anguish. I hope you manage to find peace eventually.

Re: a probably pathetic rant

I'm sorry you've had such painful experiences. Although the events have passed, it sometimes seems like the memories will stay for ever and dealing with those memories can be even more painful than dealing with the actual events themselves. Memories are often seasoned with self-hate and self-blame w...

Re: Not sure

I'm glad you've reached out here. It is hard to ask for help especially if it seems to others that we don't need it when really we do.

I really hope writing that post has helped you a little bit.

Good luck.

Re: How do i recover

It sounds like you've been struggling with a lot. I'm sorry you've had to endure so much. Would it be possible for you to see a doctor on the NHS who could refer you to a specialist who could prescribe medication for you? I'm no doctor and I'm certainly not saying that the medication will make every...

Re: Crippling Social Anxiety

I know the feeling. I've felt the same way too growing up - not fitting in, not knowing what to say and thinking too hard about what to say and finding out that what comes out of my mouth wasn't "right" despite all the thought I'd put into it. What I did and which didn't really help much i...

Re: Why do I want to disappear?

I'm sorry you feel that way. Indeed it must have been sad to know you have depression especially as you have first hand experience watching your mother struggle with it. It sounds like you really care about your friends. Hope you're doing all right.
