Just when I start feeling better...

Since last week I have been severly down, to the point where I was ready to go check in to Madison Center (it's a local mental center). By Friday I was on the phone with my minister friend for crisis counseling. He wanted to drive the three hours up here, but I wouldn't let him because I knew his wi...

please talk it out

In_Hiding I know all to well what it's like to be a teen and suffering. Do you play any sports, or are you in any activities? Is there a teacher or a coach you feel like you could talk to? You can talk to your school counselor or social worker and they can lead you into the right direction for seeki...

Why does the past still hurt us?

I was already doing pretty bad before I made the mistake of reading my old journals. Why is it that crap that happened more than 10 years ago still has the ability to upset me? That's what my husband said, and at the time I closed up told him he didn't understand. But today I am in slightly better s...

I have enough trouble remembering how I felt an hour ago. Think that they are so stupid and inane.

I think you made a good point. Though not all people are honest on them either. I remember doing one with a neurologist when I was in high school. I didn't want my mother to find out and over react or who knows what I was really scared of. But I wasn't honest and did not recieve any treatment for th...

It is such a big cliche but money does not buy happiness. We struggle day to day, I admit there are days I go without eating so that my children can. But as long as they are fed, clothed and we have a roof over our head, I am happy to be right where I am.

my apologies

I apologize for the way I worded that, I didn't want it to come out that I think people are just look fori sympathy or there is anything wrong with it. I just meant it to mean, that it is my past, I have grown from it and accepted it.

Thankyou for the welcomes!

Hi, what about a teacher or any other adult you can trust. You will be amazed at the support and confidentiality you can recieve. When I was suffering as a teen I wrote a letter to an old teacher of mine, just mailed it to the school. She was the kind teacher a lot of kids didn't like tough and nosy...

ten years later and counting

I have been battling depression and post-traumatic stress syndrome for more than 10 years now. As I have just passed the date of my 10 year high school reunion, my husband has brought home a large collection of my keepsakes, journals, and totes of crap from that time. Why I started going through the...

The secret side of a teenager (triggering)

I lost a good friend to suicide when I was in High School. I didn't talk about it much because I felt ashamed and I felt weak. If he knew that I had felt the same way, would he have gone through with it. If i knew how he was feeling could I have done anything? For me it started in Jr. High, I don't ...
