Just Lost my best friend
I am very sad today. I just lost my best friend over the weekend. I really haven't cried yet. So what's wrong with me that I can't cry when I lose a friend of over six plus years? I'm still waiting to hear from the doctor's office.
I have a theory: I don't think men and women can truly be friends.... sex always gets in the way. Why?

The tears will come, they always do. Sometimes it take a little time for reality to catch up with your heart.
Sending good thoughts and warm hugs your way.

As Jeanie said sometimes it takes a while for things to sink in. Death is a huge thing to have to handle and at times your just in so much shock that you cant cry.
My thoughts go out to you.
On the whole sex thing, i think i have had thoughts about it with my male friends at least once but it never goes any further than that cause to me they are only my friends.

It takes some time for tears to roll when somebody has an untimely death. You are so used to the person and wud have never imagined that u wud see such a day when he/she is no more. It becomes hard to accept the truth. We feel the person is somewhere nearby and will return back. It is quite natural. So dont worry !!

One more thing, Monty. I've actually had a close male friend for ten years, and sex never did get in the way...I actually believe it is possible if both people are committed to the friendship. Having a friend of the opposite sex can be very rewarding, in my experience, and they can give you a different view of things sometimes. And, as a woman, being friends with a man has come in handy in the past when I was single... who else would put my air conditioners in during the summer?
