Pretending

Postby Shealyn » Sun May 30, 2010 3:19 am

twisted words,
faces contorted in rage
angry tears
and lies that kill

never knowing
who is right
and always confused,
circulating stories
and not one is true

newly murdered
friendships
still hang in the air

and then there's you
pretending
that you care

I can appreciate how you feel. I feel the same way myself very often. The world can often seem, at least to me, as if it cares more about processes and profits than people. However, as I go here and there in the world, I'm very frequently heartened and helped by a LOT of people who do care. The fact that I'm still here proves how many gentle, caring people that there ARE in the world. There are times when I think that only that and the family stubborness (  ) have kept me in the game this long, and by the Grace of God allow me to have hope for a better future for myself.
Good luck, thanks for the poem!
