Heartstrings

Postby Shealyn » Mon May 24, 2010 9:56 pm

raindrops sliding down
the window.
tears cascading a
beautifully sad face.
eyes swimming in
their midsts,
cast haunting shadows.

crashing to the ground
they shatter to pieces.
another broken
reflection,
on another twisted
mirror.

someday he will see
the rain too.

(((((( Shealyn )))))

That's incredibly powerful. It sort of reminds me of some song lyrics I know. I hope you're proud of your writing, it's very touching.

Very lovely. Sad and beautiful at the same time. Where did you learn to write? Self-taught? Do you write a lot of poetry?

Shealyn - so glad you're adding more! Can you add them to this thread so that it's easier to follow? There are so many new threads added each day that it's hard to keep up. I genuinely enjoyed your poetry and would love to read more.

I used to write myself. Not poetry, but short stories, plays and novel length women's fiction. The urge has just left me, unfortunately.

Keep writing - can't wait to read more!
