In the middle of a panic attack...

My heart is racing and my chest feels so tight that I think it will imploed at any miniute. My head feels light and I am dizzy. I hate feeling like this. I'd rather cry anyday. I feel so helpless.

Hold in there, I have atleast 2 anxiety attacks today, had one that lasted for 3 hours. Do something to take your mind off of it, anything that doesnt trigger it by making it worse. You'll get through itb

It is so bad. I feel drained now and have a headache. Bed very soon I think.

*hugs* its really sucks when panic attack strikes, maybe breathing technique can help you? i am now trying on something that called 20 connected breaths, it helps a little with my panic attack. Hope you feel better crybaby *hugs* to you again

nice slow breathing definitely helps, try some lavender essential oil too - i drown myself in the stuff!!! had a really nasty panic attack on friday evening, it really feels like you're gonna choke, throw up or faint doesn't it? if you are at home, lying down in the dark really helps, helps reduce external stimulation to an already over-active nervou system

Crystalgaze, visualize them dressed in drag. It may seem funny, but it may relief the anxiety. Try it, if anything, you will get a good laugh out of it.
A key to relieving anxiety is to focus your thoughts on someting else, but I think eventually you should try to get to the root cause.
