“Lord I am not worthy that you should enter into my house, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.”
I cannot believe that is true. I feel broken beyond repair, and I think that I am beyond healing. Does that mean I don’t have faith? Then I am truly lost and there is no hope.

faith is a good thing to have but it does not cure a mental illness, it will not part a river nor solve the climate.
if you are waiting for that better get an armchair........ joking .
things you can do are see your doctor, do not eat sugar takes the mind on highs and lows, go for a walk in nature calms the soul, listen to inspirational music, read a book about someone elses' hard life e.g. nelson mandella, watch a funny movie, random act of kindness for some one else.
these things might just help to lift your spirit.
take care

Something I have discovered to be true in art and in life; also in wisdom and healing therapy, is that there is a difference between the content and the vehicle, the concept and it's expression, the medicine and the way it's applied.
Prayer has always been a form of meditation and while the words are certainly important, equally (or perhaps more) important is the practice with which it's applied. I'm not saying you need to be in church, although churches are an environment designed to provide the most powerful effect from prayer and meditation.
But pick up almost any book on meditation and it will describe the importance of setting up both a proper space for practice and a steady discipline. Almost all the habits I recommend, to bring some stability to a life in crisis, are the same required for effective meditation.
So my point here is: I'm not a man of great faith, but my experience is that prayer works. Prayer is more than words. They have to be applied with intent, determination, and mindfulness. Not the easiest thing, but what little success I've had brings me trust (if not faith) in prayer.
