music as therapy

Postby CrazyLegs » Tue Sep 01, 2009 12:00 pm

Hi, I am new to this but I thought others might be interested..... I bought myself a piano around a year ago and started lessons. I can't tell you how relaxing it is just to sit and play - every worry goes out of my head and there is just me and my piano.
If I feel down I go and play and an hour or two can go by without me realising, afterwards I feel really relaxed and calm.
I wish I had taken up the piano years ago. Does anyone else finding music therapeutic?

CrazyLegs - KUDOS to you!!! You have found something that works to soothe you and your depression/anxiety!!! Music is therapy for so many people, CrazyLegs... so glad you found it.

My saving grace is TV and books... love em both.

Thanks for sharing that, CrazyLegs!!
