Tip to help with an anxiety attack

Postby ticktock » Wed Aug 19, 2015 9:49 pm

Found this and thought it might help. Would love feedback if it does.

-Look around you.
-Find 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell, and 1 thing you can taste.

This is called grounding. It can help when you feel like you have lost all control of your surroundings.

Hope this helps. Feedback greatly appreciated.

I haven't had panic attacks in a while, wish I knew this when I got over 150 panic attacks in my senior year of high school.

This is actually quite valid technique. Thank you for sharing, it will probably help some people.
