I joined tonight, desparate for common ground. Don't take slow response time as dis- interest. It's so hard not to isolate when in pain as I assume you have experienced. Glad you found your way to this site. Maybe it will help us both.

We understand. Depression hits all ages, and especially the elderly. Staying in community is one of the best ways to fight back, so I am glad you are posting! Would you like to tell us more of why you are low?

You have been through so much, and your sadness is understandable. Allowing yourself to feel your sadness is healing, although painful. Pictures, journals, scrapbooks, cards, and letters of what you shared with others are great reminders of the blessings God has given us, as well as a reminder of the blessings He wants to provide for our future. Church, prayer, and reading the Bible are things I do when I need that reminder. Praying for you today!
