Greetings

Postby LittleThings » Mon Dec 04, 2017 12:57 am

I decided to join this forum after it was suggested to me by a user from a different forum I frequent. My main reason for being here is for me to release some of my emotions when I'm feeling down. I'm not good at expressing myself face-to-face, but I feel more at ease with web base communication. Essentially I kinda want to use these forums for journal entries, a place to write down what's going through my head and see what others think or if they have any positive ideas. I've never really sought advice before, I mostly just bottle my emotions and stew in my own self pity. I realize that is unhealthy and being able to talk to others and release my emotions safely helps me cope better than hiding them away. Maybe this is a step in the right direction for me, only time will tell. But I look forward to the advice and knowledge offered by those here with more experience than me.

Hi, LittleThings. So I tend to repress things instead of dealing with them, sadly I'm very good at it. But I can say that posting on the forum can be very therapeutic. It's actually easier for me to express all of the things I'm dealing with here than at my therapy appointments. The animosity makes it easier to say things that you can't share with the people close to you. Having been on the forum the advice you can receive from others can be very helpful and help give you some perspective. I hope you continue to post and if you ever need to talk to a stranger about your day you can always message me. :D
