Hey everybody. Don't really know what to put. My name's Cody, I'm 18, just graduated high school and I'm going to college this fall. When I found out one of my best friend's girlfriend was depressed, I began looking into it to see how to help her. I looked at the symptoms and slowly realized that I might be depressed or something. Went and talked to our family doctor and a local therapist and they both believe I have dysthymia. Just found this forum and hope I can find out more about all this and hopefully help others. That is so great of you to want to learn about depression to help others and, as you have discovered, yourself. Too often people don't want to learn because of the stigma that goes with mental illness. I really respect you for this.
