Hi My name is illGuyX

Postby illGuyX » Fri May 02, 2008 2:20 pm

I have been suffering from depression and anxiety since early 20s and still suffering at the age of 28.

I have only just begun to accept my illness in the brain.

Hi
Welcome to the forum. I understand how you feel because I've been suffering from anxiety almost all my life, but only recently I got help because I became very depressed, and I finaly realized that I could not do it alone.
Are you in treatment or therapy? Take care.

Treatment and therapy

Postby illGuyX » Wed May 07, 2008 2:59 pm

My medication is:

1x 20mg Citalopram (Makes me feel tired on and off)
2x 40mg Propranolol (Can sometimes give me the runs if I don't eat with food)

I have managed to get myself into counciling (Had to be on the waiting list for a fair amount of months). Turns out I am allowed 6 sessions, for some reasons after each visit. I felt brighter.

I have strong support from my family and the doctor. I have been slowly opening up to my friends, so that they are aware of my symptoms. By opening up and making people aware helps other realize it is very big issue. That we need this kind of support when we depressed.

I still suffer depression and anxiety issues on and off.

If Citalopram makes you tired, take it before you go to bed like I do and it will help you sleep.
Why do you take propranolol, do you have hypertension?
