Does anyone have a bi-polar girlfriend. I'm just trying to understand her more.

You need to do lots of support and empathy. Learning as much as you can about this mental illness, but never, ever think you know more about it than she does.

be observant and when you see signs of a mood change, tell her.
Set boundaries. Such as, you will have very little or no tolerance to her randomly stopping to taking her medications as prescribed.
Be as non-judge mental as possible.
Working together to build your relationship in a normal, healthy way. Do not let bi-polar define your relationship or be the total focus
Let her be her. Do not look at her through nothing but the bi-polar diagnosis.
You are her partner, not her caretaker. Give her the space to manage some of the bipolar issues herself.
In an argument, try very hard not to hold her mood disorder against her.
