Hi, I am suffering from an anxiety disorder. I am undergoing cognitive behavior therapy for my problem. But now, I am having another problem with my ears. I am hearing some kind of whistling sound in my ears. My hearing doesn't have any problem. I thought it might be related to my anxiety and will reduce according to the treatment. So I didn't give much care to this. As of now, I am really irritated with this anonymous sound in my ears. I can't concentrate on my anxiety therapies and sessions due to this. Then I shared this with my therapist. She told me that it might be anxiety related but need some clarifications. So she suggested me to consult an audiology specialist in London for audiometry test. I am planning to take an appointment for this. But before taking the treatment, I have some doubts regarding this. I shared this problem with my friends. One of my friends told me that it is tinnitus. I am confused about this. Is this anxiety related or some other ear problem? Is it possible to treat tinnitus? If anybody knows about this, please help me with your replies.
