My opinion? Keep the guy or tell the "friend" to get you an acceptable substitute. It's saddens me to read of your depression related difficulties. Take heart in the knowledge many of us in this forum have been where you are and have come out to live better lives. It will not be easy, you ...

delta, is there a reason why you don't want to go back on your meds? I never liked the side effects of my meds but now I'm on Cymbalta and the side effects are acceptable except You know you have to get out of the darkness and quickly. Try other methods of course but don't wait too long. Your partne...

You have certainly found a good place. Chat with the members who read to be concerned and interested. I'm certain some of the members will be a great help. Remember, we have all been where you are and we are survivors. You will survive as well. Talk with us. We will listen and we'll be on your side.

I have the same problem. Always here to help any and all. But I'm a walking disaster. Putting myself first doesn't work for me. I am not a good person underneath it all and my on-going goal is to subdue my internal demons. The only way I've managed is with medicaton. But, as we all know, meds simply...

I don't believe there are good and bad meds. There are meds that work for you and meds that don't. I was on Paxil for years -- it worked wonders for me. Then the generic came out and the insurance company would only pay for the generic. So I had to change. The generic didn't work for me at all. Rece...

Nenkohai, speaking for myself, the "more" that alludes me when my depression gets me low enough is how many people love me and are honestly concerned. My depression causes me to isolate myself and dwell on the ugliness of previous life experiences for which I am ashamed or angry, or both. ...

You jumped to the wrong conclusion. This could be the right place to get an answer but you can't expect people to be waiting for your post. Anonymity can be maintained by calling a suicide hotline, if your problem is severe enough. Or you can make an appointment to speak with a mental health worker ...

Re: New here. would like some advice....

The past month i've been going through a lot of changes. I recently moved halfway across the country with my boyfriend of three years and last month lost my job. Decided not to get another job because we were making enough without it and am moving back to my home town in two months. Well that's not...

The reactions you get from your children are, to me, the kids being kids. Your inability to be more of an effective authority figure is probably tied up with your severely low self esteem. The life your living is the one you chose. To get a “do over” you know you’d have to walk away from your husban...

I watch lots of movies and have no genre I like over another except for Bollywood, which I never watch. Watched a few way back in the 60s but strongly disliked them so backed off on them.

Recently watched "Black Butterflies" and am recommending it to all who like biographical movies.

Can't let the last go unanswered. What happened in my hometown was the act of a mentally ill fanatic or a group of mentally ill fanatics; and the actions of the people who were suppose to protect us. It had nothing to do with Nature or the role humans play in Nature. It is too easy to see the acts ...

As a last comment to you, there is not a person on earth, or who was ever on earth, who understood or understands what humans are suppose to do.relative to the earth. If you can't see that, I'm sorry for you. But don't blame your depression on your inability to accept Nature as being more relevent t...

I'm sorry you see man on earth as a cancer. We are parts of Nature. Nature, not us, gave us existence. I believe we are being used by Nature for some positive reason. Yes we polute. Yes we "hurt" the planet, as we understand the planet. But we are such a small part of the earth, which is a...
