I forgot to tell you that my single daughter is trying hard to keep me hopeful

I had my first bout of depression when my mother passed. Then when I retired.Now I have depression since my wife passed .I have my ups and downs but this one is lasting too long .I want to keep hoping ,but I keep dwelling in my despair .medication never helped me .What can I do
