Now I know for sure.

She puts her hands on either side of my face, and the room falls away. I have never gotten so lost in a kiss before. And then, the space between us explodes. My heart keeps missing beats and my hands cannot bring her close enough to me. I taste her and realize I have been starving. I have loved befo...

Happy Mothers Day

Dear Mom: I am not going to write about the difficult year behind us, because that is in the past, and that is where it belongs. Instead, I am going to wrote about you-after all, it is Mothers Day.I know that some days (maybe even most days) it is difficult for you to believe that you did well as a ...

Worried I Will Self Destruct

Things are going pretty good for me lately. My antidepressants seem to be working, and my other health issues are under control, for the most part. And I am on my way to getting gastric bi-pass surgery to lose weight. AND I have a new boyfriend who just this weekend told me he is in love with me, an...

Not a problem. My sense of humor has always been key to my sanity. I am glad you were able to laugh. My daughter and I remain a tight little unit, and we are working it out together and seperately. My furry son has been a huge source of comfort and entertainment since I moved. He is all I need male ...

Thanks! I spoke the truth. Maybe one day, but I doubt it. I am 45 years old and am tired of games and well, just tired, lol. I am content to have my small family and a few good friends. The only man in my life poops in a box, and I am happy with that. My cat, fyi, lol.

Letter to My Ex

My Dearest Ex... And believe me, I use that term very sarcastically. I am writing this letter here because I NEED to express my feelings, but, talking to you would as usual, avail me nothing. You never cared enough to make the relationship work while we were in it, why should you care what the damag...

Thanks. This is something I wrote a while ago. A temporary therapist asked me to describe what depression is to me. I like your description too, it's very easy to visualize and makes sense.
I am very glad I stumbled upon this site, it has helped already in the short time since I joined up.

Describe Depression

[/b]Depression is.... I am naked and alone, in the dark. It is windy and cold, and the wind whispers, it sometimes howls. There are voices in the wind. I hear my stepfather, whispering, then shouting. Other times the voices I hear are my own, or my mothers, or the voice of a long ago ex. They are all...

Can't seem to Break Free

I could never say these things in the depression chats, so I hope you all will bear with me and just let me get it out. My situation is not improving. If anything it feels like it is getting worse. I notice a pattern. If something good happens for me, I get triple in bad things. Good thing...I helpe...

I wish i could see it that clearly. I am an emotional wreck at the moment. I miss my other two children always, not a day goes by that I do not think of them and love them, and miss them. Every Christmas Eve, I light two candles one for each of them. I wish them a Merry Christmas wherever they are a...

A Life Wasted?

I have never felt like I fit in, ever. As far back as I can remember there has always been this disconnect, for lack of a better word between me and everyone else. Like I am forever on the outside looking in. I know i have a brain, I know I am smart...ish, but I am very practiced at self sabbotage. ...
