movies

I loved watching Robin Williams and Will Smith. But I think I have seen all that is available to me on Netflix. I wouldn't want silly ones or animated ones. Also, nothing above PG-13. It will be hard to think of some, I know.

your history of meds

Hi. I am on seven meds because one doesn't work and so I have a cocktail of meds. Also, if your thyroid number is over two the thyroid adds to the depression. I am not familiar with the ones you mentioned.

meds

I would get meds. When I was outpatient it was stressed that depression is physiological. And that some chemicals don't go where they're supposed to and it leads to depression. The meds fix all of that. No shame in meds. I'll bet 3 out of 5 people have meds.

Thanks very much! I have tried funny movies but I will try again. My friends showed me one to get me to laugh but I just sat there. It was some animated rooeetooee thing. If you have suggestions about funny movies I'd appreciate it. I can try watching them on my own.

programed

Hi, I think your guilt about wanting to help your father is because you were programmed your entire life by your mother. I don't think you should be guilty; you are doing the best you can seeing all you have been through. Have you considered calling a social worker to take your dad on as a case? Jus...

I am also so sorry for how your life has been. Have you ever consulted a doctor about the possibility of your having PTSD? It sounds like it to me; I have it. Sorry if you already posted something about that.

abilify and weight

My doctor increased my dosage from five to ten milligrams. I am concerned that I will blow up like a balloon as someone told me happened to her friend. Does anyone agree or disagree about abilify and weight gain?

I suggest you be yourself and after going to counseling and getting on an antidepressant join them for dinners. Don't try to be like your sister in law. Your husband married for you as you are.

I am so sorry you are going through all of this. Do you have a counselor? I think you should be on an antidepressant. My meds and counseling help me a lot and my life has been termed horrific and ritualistic by my counselor. She is great and I am grateful for what God put in plants so we can have th...

My childhood and teen years were taken away from me and I cannot have them back. My counselor says I am very strong to have gotten through those years and that I am successful. I think you are strong to have kept going.

Hi, do you have a counselor and are you on a med? Both would help immensely.

laugh

I haven't laughed for a long time. It's embarrassing when all are laughing and I am not. I try to smile. Is anyone else going through this?

Sorry for all you are going through. My concern is that, if I understand correctly, that you are not taking meds. I am on a lot of them and they are such a BIG help.

I think the fact that you know what you do and do not want to be is a tremendous step in the right direction. Do you have a counselor? I do and am even able to email mine. I hope you have one and the ability to contact him/her quickly.
