heavyheart38 I believe what you are experiencing is a known side effect from the citalopram. I have been taking it for about a year and a half now and have same problem. I had other problems with other antidepressants so got switched to this stuff. Works for my head but kinda shuts the climax machin...

Love defined, many times

Hi frame I thought this was a great thread and it reminded me of this song by Marshmakhan. Maybe some of it applys here. good tune if you google it. A child asks his mother, "Do you love me?" And it really means, "Will you protect me?" His mother answers him, "I love you&quo...

Hi Peacelove Although we have different issues, I have also had days when anxiety seems to reach the boiling point and once again I am plagued with the question, whats it all about? We must remember that these days do pass and although the future will undoubtably provide us with more of these days, ...

Be Careful Who You Talk To

After my major emotional meltdown in September which was aided by reaction to anti depressants and alcohol and whatever is wrong with my brain, my Dr suggested I work with the local crisis team in order to see a psychiatrist sooner to get help with meds. In this process, I spent 3 hours at the hospi...

Hello HopefulIOM Welcome to the forums As you have read some of the other posts you may have noticed other comments similar to your own when people introduce themselves. It is fine for you to rant here, though I suspect the moderators would remove your post if it was too "colourful" Some p...

hello YuYu I have read your previous posts and although it has been a loong time since the heartache of the loss of my first love, I do recall what it was like. I no longer feel the pain, and barely think of the good times we had anymore either. That stopped years ago so I can assure you time will h...

Hello Riza What you said brought back so many memories for me as I went through very similar emotional and mental issues. Please know that you are not alone in your struggle. While I am not a professional, to me it certainly sounds like depression, but weather it is or not, something is wrong and yo...

hi Denv12 What a great idea this was. It has made me feel good reading other hobby ideas. I am kind of like metaLarsllica in that I used to love to read but cant seem to concentrate long enough to do so. I was thinking at this point in my recovery that I no longer enjoy doing many of the things I us...

Turns our it is natural. who knew.

In the past 3 years I have struggled with ptsd, depression and anxiety and in addition to my M.D. have now seen 4 therapists and 1 Psychiatrist. In the most recent past, I have been on antidepressants since last February and switched variety in September when pristiq stopped working. I am also takin...

Heres to the Beautiful Liars

When ever I visit the chat rooms I am always greeted and usually lifted by the warm chorus of hi's and hellos. I cannot over emphasize how nice it is seeing those welcomes and hearing the pings. Although not trying to put anyone on the spot, because sometimes I know I hate being asked myself, but fo...

Hello patience While I am quite a bit older than your son, I understand his pain and frustrations. It must be very hard for you to see him suffer. I would recommend two things to you. First to look into Cognative Behavioral Therapy for your son as I have found it to be very helpful, (in addition to ...
