Other Sites

Hi, I noticed a comment from a moderator saying advertising and promoting other similar sites is a no no. I wanted to mention a trivia site I play on in the hobbies and other interests site. Is this allowed, and is it allowed to mention say cooking sites or gaming sites etc. Cheers Glenn

Hey Tom, I left a message on my post where you replied. I would just like to add that going to meetings and talking about how you are feeling can feel scary but I have found I have had breakthroughs and my barriers come down and I slowly let people in by doing this. If you can't be real in a safe pl...

I read a daily reading book for recovery from sexual abuse. I have some close friends in AA who I can talk anything out with and they ...

I ...

Shut my head up please -- Triggering

After many years of therapy and AA I have moved my PTSD to a stage where my previously subconcious self abuse is now at the conscious level. The downside is, it is driving me mad. Sadly I copped verbal and emotional abuse to the max from my father, mother and 6 aunts and uncles who moved in as teena...

I have saved so much energy over the years not bothering to try explaining things to people who will not ever understand. Anyway those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Hey Dennis, This is the most I have ever identified with a post. I have been battling this aloneness all my life. I had about 10 mates who sat together at school and played soccer together. So I was not alone. However, at all times I lived in absolute terror that they would all start dumping on me a...

At the opening of a Casino in Melbourne Australia, they had huge columns sprouting flames. As part of the grand finale they released thousands of white doves who immediately flew into the flames. Sad, but a terrific metaphor of the effect of Casinos on peoples lives.

If people tell me to just get over the abuse I suffered as a child I challenge them to let me treat them the same as I was treated as a child for 10 minutes and I would have them begging for mercy. I then ask them to imagine copping that for 16 years without a break. I have lost a career, had no rel...
