The simple answer to this question is that Depression Understood offers many ways in which like-minded people can communicate with each other and offer peer support to one another.
It is very often the case that to share how you feel with another can greatly help improve your overall state of mind. Additionally, communicating with others can offer insight into why you feel as you do, and help to discover possible ways in which you can change your life – thus making life a more productive and enjoyable experience for yourself and for those around you.
